What to Expect
Skills Bootcamps – Digital Business Skills are free to the learner courses, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills and fast-track to an interview with an employer.
The Skills Bootcamps are fully funded for learners and are part of the Government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee, helping everyone gain skills for life. They are designed to help teach and strengthen skills for anyone who wants to increase their business activity, up-skill in their current role, or gain vital skills to secure a new position.

Who are Skills Bootcamps – Digital Business Skills for?
This course is for anyone from any background and stage in their life who wants to improve their digital skills in the workplace. This could include people starting their own business or employees looking to build their skillset within their current role or boost their CV to improve their employability.
Eligibility
Learners must either currently work or intend to work within Cornwall or Devon on completion of the Skills Bootcamps. They must be 19 years or above and to have not completed any other Skills Bootcamps starting within the current financial year.
Sessions will be held mainly online but to help you get to know your tutors and fellow participants, we hold initial in-person sessions. If you are unable to make any of these sessions, we can provide hybrid learning and access to recordings.

We will be holding Enrolment sessions and Introduction to Skills Bootcamps prior to the start of each cohort, which you will be required to attend. These are in-person where you will have the opportunity to meet the team and ask any questions you may have, as well as meet your fellow learners.
We have three options available for these enrolment sessions and you can choose either one;
- Monday 10th June between 9.30am - 2.30pm at theBuilding Growth South West office, Exeter, EX4 6AP
- Tuesday 11th June between 9.30am - 2.30pm at the Holiday Inn Express Bodmin, PL26 8UF,
- Wednesday 12th June between 9.30am - 2.30pm at the HQ Building, Plymouth, PL1 3HQ
